In this spirit, the Gay Street Inn steers its visitors to local stores, orchards, farms, vineyards and antique stores and art galleries, as well as nearby attractions as the Shenandoah National Park where both have hiked and eryoyed for years.
Kevin Adams was bom and raised on the Eastern Shore of Maryland where his mother was the postmistress of Oxford, Maryland. From an early age, he was encouraged to feel good about being creative. He was trained as an artist at the Minneapolis College of Arts and Design and at the American Institute in France. As an officer in the U.S. Marine Corps, Adams was assigned as a combat artist. His works are included in collections of the U.S. Department of Interior and many of his paintings have been chosen for the State Department’s “Art in Embassies Programs.”
