A little lantern walk
The Nursery / Kindergarten and lower school classes will go on the annual Lantern Walk through Washington, Virginia on December 14.
Students and friends will meet at the fountain across from the Inn at Little Washington at 5:00 pm.
The Lantern Walk celebrates the Winter Solstice, the time of the longest night and shortest day of the year.
The dark triumphs only briefly however, as the Solstice is also the turning point when the nights begin to grow shorter and the days longer.
