Gadino Cellars was awarded silver medals for their 2005 Premium Chardonnay and 2005 Cabernet Franc at the prestigious American Wine Society (AWS) Commercial Winery Competition. The competition is open to wineries across North America and takes place at the AWS national conference in November of each year.
The AWS-sponsored competition for commercial winemakers has been held annually since the 1986 national conference. The competition has grown to more than 1,000 wines entered and three sessions are needed to complete the judging. The competition requires year-long preparation and significant computer and human resources to handle all the operational details. The Silver Medal-winning wines can be sampled at Gadino Cellars’ tasting room, Friday through Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. (winter hours) or Tuesday through Thursday by appointment.
