The Lady Panthers Varsity team were beat twice by Millbrook as the Rappahannock team challenged them at home and a game away.
The Rappahannock game was held last Thursday, resulting in a final score of 07. The girl’s managed to score 2 points at Millbrook’s field against Millbrook’s score of 10.
Morgan Flournoy scored the first Panther goal, assisted by Megan Edwards. A penalty kick in the box allowed Megan Wheatley to score another goal for Rappahannock in the first half.
“In spite of the score, I’m impressed with our improving possession game,” said Head Varsity Coach Dave Gillis. “Our confidence level is going up.” Gillis also noted that he would work to improve the teams defense as keeper Britney Clatterbuck had 31 shots to block from the
