“Truth be told, we know not much more than you do about the specifics of the allegations,” Bruns said, while answering questions posed by reporters.
“When we first found a Culpeper connection, it was about a month before the Richmond trial,” Bruns said. “But that hot potato got put to the side, so we could focus on the matter at hand.”

Rumors of a connection between Gray and the Warner murder first starting circulating last spring. They were not confirmed until the one year anniversary of the murder - on Dec. 18, 2006 - because officials claimed they wanted to protect the integrity of the investigation.
