Perhaps you eiyoyed the Rappahannock Players, a group of local thespians whose productions were known for the high degree of professionalism and entertainment value. Finger-snapping, toe-tapping music aficionados regularly stepped out to hear live music, swingin’ to the sound of big names like Rappahannock’s legendary blues guitarist John Jackson.

Hard to believe 25 years has passed since a group of inspired volunteers got together to organize the community’s artistic endeavors and formed The Rappahannock Association for The Arts and The Community (RAAC). Charlie Ibmpkins, an accomplished photographer who studied with Ansel Adams, is the only founding member still sitting on the RAAC board.
