Company 1 also responded as well, along with Warren County Emergency Services ALS personnel to the scene and both departments’ personnel were involved in the successful life saving efforts at the scene as well as during transport to Warren Memorial Hospital. It was a direct result of the efforts, hard work, and quick response of all personnel involved that the victim was successfully resuscitated.
As a result of this particular incident being chosen by the Chamber of Commerce, the Chester Gap Fire & Rescue Department, Company 9 was presented with the LIFESAVING AWARD for its efforts and service given in response to this call and to every emergency situation. Front Royal Fire & Rescue, Company 1 and Warren County Emergency Services personnel were also recognized and received the LIFESAVING AWARD as well for their efforts and service.
