Marlor stated that the rule was made because of time constraints and not to hide the truth from the public. “We just don’t want to be kept here until 11 or 12 o’clock,” he said.
“I’m surprised Mr. Frazier that you say such things,” said Aline Johnson, the Piedmont District school board member. “Because you came to my house last Saturday and I answered every question that you had for me.”
Following the public hearing, Superintendent Dr. Robert Chappell responded to the public request by stating that there were about 182 full- and parttime employees at the school. The board members also spoke with citizens privately following the public session.
