Ki Theatre’s popular “Soup and Soul* gatherings which showcase local artistic talent (including writers, musicians, photographers, and others) are the theatre’s principal cultural offering in the winter months from January through March. A recent Soup and Soul featured Rappahannock author and farmer John Kiser who offered his analysis of the “creative process” for a large audience of some 50 people. This gathering was hosted at the Woodville home of Mary Sherman-Willis and her husband, Scott Willis.
John Kiser moved to Rappahannock County almost 15 years ago and settled at his farm, Meadow Green, near Slate Mills Road. When he is not researching and writing for which he allots a certain amount of time each day, he raises pigs and manages his farm with his wife, Pam, and their young son, Pierce.
