Data Management Specialist
Water Resources - Building ana Development
Position in the Engineering Division of Building & Development. Responsibilities include collecting and processing water resource and related data from identified sources; conducting quality control checks of data to verify and document data completeness and basic accuracy: documenting and maintaining quality control processes and results. Provide technical assistance and guidance to staff regarding formats, storage, access and use of data; efficiently and accurately provide requested data sets by developing and applying appropriate queries and/or basic data manipulation or descriptive statistics. Will conduct or assist with special projects in support of water resources and related environmental programs as directed. Strong computer and communication skills and be detail oriented. GIS experience desired. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/ Networking, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering or related field and at least two years experience in data management, database management, water resources or related field.
