Pilot Safety/Quality Assurance

PURPOSE OF POS(TION:Assure the safe, reliable, and professional flight operations of Air Serv owned and leased aircraft through the development, implementation and monitoring or effective Flight Safety and Quality Assurance programs

REPORTS TO:CEO/President

LOCATION OF POSITION:Warrenton, VA

RESPONSIBILITIES: •Ensuring flight operations standards and safety regulations are adhered to in all programs. •Maintain technical safety communication with field flight. •Develop safety plans and procedures. (Flight Operations Manual) •Assist development of Flight Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for specific aircraft. •Establish and cariv out quality assurance audits of Air Serv flight and safety programs. •Investigate aircraft incidents/accidents as assigned by the CEO or Director of Aviation. •Continued adherence to Federal Aviation Administration rules through a continual company/program wide audit process. •Recommending and implementing changes necessary for the continued safety .and airworthiness of aircraft operated for and by Air Serv International. •Assist with producing, implementing, maintenance procedures and Quality Assurance manuals. •Work directly with the Director of Technical Safety on policy change and implementation and the clarification of changes to field staff. •Liaise with the Regional Chief Pilot (RCP) on maintenance issues and concerns.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: •Pilot-(As our current standards apply) •Safety School-Approved FAA School •QA training from Flight Safety or Equivalent

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITY: •Experience in flying a variety of light aircraft in remote, overseas locations •Knowledge of developing countries and relief and development •Experience in developing, implementing, and monitoring flight procedures and standards. •A&P Desired •Travel-20%

PHYSICAL QUALIFICATION: •Ability to life 20-30lbs
