The Town of Washington government is back at full strength.
The Town Council filled open seats on the Architectural Review Board and Tbwn Planning Commission at its monthly meeting March 14, appointing painter Kevin Adams to the ARB, and attorney Jay Brown to the planning commission.
Adams and Brown are coowners of the Gay Street Inn, a bed and breakfast in town. Both men have long been regular attendees at town meetings, which often draw only sparse crowds.
Town Council Member Claudia Mitchell nominated Brown to fill the planning commission’s open seat, which was vacated by Robert Ballard when he moved to Amissville last month.
John Sullivan, a former ARB member who was appointed to the Tbwn Council in February, nominated Adams to serve in his former seat on the board.
