Susan said that friends of hers have asked if she isn’t lonely living so far away from everyone. Susan said she is more connected to her neighbors here, even if they’re physically further away, than she ever was in the city. Connections are what Susan creates each and every day.
Susan Hatley moved to Amissville in 2000 after falling in love with the place on weekend escapes from Northern Virginia. But her massage therapy work began even earlier. She’s been in this business since 1996. Prior to massage she was teaching yoga, but had always been interested in massage. She finally “had the time and space” to pursue that interest.
Susan is the only massage therapist I know who comes to you! That’s right! Her portable table is in her car and she brings her skills to you, to where you’re comfortable. Susan says she enjoys doing the work in a setting where her clients are at their most relaxed. She sets up her table wherever her clients want, whether that’s the living room, the bedroom, a bam, or even, in one case, the garden!
