Mrs. Brady said she believes the church helped her to raise the children properly. “I always tried to keep the children properly. “I always tried to keep the children in church and Sunday school,” she said. “It was the way I was brought up, the way I was taught. You can gain everything, I think, in everyday living.
“It was hard sometimes,” she smiled. “Especially with the boys. They’d just like to think about other things like fishin’ and a baseball game. ‘You have to go to Sunday School first,’ I’d say.”
