Katherine is a charter member of the Amissville Extension Homemakers’ Club, originally organized in 1932. She’s filled the offices of president, secretary and treasurer, given demonstrations, helped with Ruritan Club dinners and fund raising luncheons, served as a 4H leader, judged fairs and assisted with rummage sales. An excellent seamstress, she’s been a willing teacher to not only her sister EH members but to anyone with a sewing problem. She estimates that over the years she’s made more than 5,000 garments, altered thousands of others and
