Buried Cable Information:
How to find out where the cable
is before you find it by chance.
Don’t play a guessing game when it comes to digging or trenching. You might end up cutting an underground telephone cable by mistake. Just call Centel 48 hours before you break ground. Our cable locator will come out to your work siteand either give you an "all clear,” or if there is a buried cable, he’ll show you where it’s safe to dig.
Damaging a buried cable could put phone service out for hundreds of people. And in case of emergency that would put the fire and police out of reach.
This service is free from Centel. So if you’re planning to dig, don’t chance finding a buried cable. Call Miss Utility first at 1-800-552-7001.
