SUNDAY, MAY 6, 5:46 A.M.: I knew from the sound on the roof that mother nature was at it again. More rain. It was pounding down again. It wasn’t dampening the spirit of the birds, though, because their early morning chirping was as lively as ever. Robins, catbirds, cardinals and sparrows were inviting us to join their day. The rain continued.
How much this time, I wondered. Was Thornton Gap in sight? No mountains were to be seen. This wasn’t just a cloud passing quickly overhead. It was more like clouds, clouds everywhere say, “Guess who is bade?”
