County Methodist Churches
Three of the county's Methodist churches are observing “Proclaim the Word” again this year from Sunday, May 13 through Wednesday, May 16. The speaker for the series is Wfl Shorb, the Methodist pastor’s brother. Mr. Shorb, who is an author in the area of personal discipline for Christians, has preached widely on the subject.
Sunday at 6 p.m. in the Flint Hill fire hall there will be a kickoff. Bring a covered dish. Two more covered dish suppers are scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Monday and Tuesday in the Sperryville and Willis Chapel churches, respectively. A 7:30 service will follow each of these meals. The final rally is being hosted by the Flint Hill United Methodist Church, also at 7:30 p.m.
