The Amis8ville Ruritan Club will meet on Wednesday, May 16 at 7:30 p.m. at the Amissville Baptist Church. All members and interested persons are urged to attend.
Local Artist
Jim Yowell of Peola Mills will conduct his first public display and sale of original art at Graves Mountain Lodge, Syria on Sunday, May 13, from 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Yowell is noted for his pen and ink and pencil sketches of Old Rag Mountain. The public is welcome.
Sewing Session Set
A Sewing Helps and New Notions session will be held at the Baptist Church in Washington on May 14, 10 a.m. until noon, and May 17. 7-9 p.m. There will be $2.00 charge to attend the session to provide a donation for the facilities and pay for some supplies.
Participants will have a chance to practice pattern layout, interfacing with fusables, and hem and edge finishes, as well as using new notions.
