Need For Generator
Donald Gore then spoke in support of the Sheriff Department’s request for binding of an auxiliary generator. Now that all fire and rescue dispatching for the county now originates in the Sheriffs Department, the generator is needed in case of power failures.
“One time an electrical storm put the whole dispatch center down,” Gore explained. “We went to Flint Hill for a generator just to operate the phones,” Sheriff John Henry Woodward added. Gore also spoke in support of the Rappahannock-Rapidan Emergency Medical Services (EMS) request for |2,600. EMS is affiliated with the fire and rescue association.
