Born At Hume
Charles Phillip Carter, Sr., 69, of Hume, died Saturday, April 28,1984, at his residence.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday at the Mt. Morris Baptist Church at Hume by the Rev. J. P. Baltimore. Burial was in the Mt. Morris Cemetery.
Mr. Carter was born March 27, 1916, at Hume, son of the late Arthur Milton and Martha Washington Carter. He was married to the late Carrie Johnson Carter.
Surviving are a son, Charles Phillip Carter of Harrisburg, Pa. and eight brothers, Arthur M. Carter Jr. of Round Hill, Corneilus and Daniel Carter, both of Front Royal, the Rev. Earl Carter of Cladwell, N. J., Walden Carter of Hume, Jess Carter of Madison, Thomas Carter of Middleburg and Samuel Carter of Washington, D. C.
Turner-Robertahaw Funeral Home in Front Royal was in charge of the arrangements.
