William E. Settle Jr. of Woodbridge spent Saturday night with his mother Mrs. Ned Settle. Her daughter Mrs. Betty Jean Moulis of Silver Spring, Md., spent Tuesday with her.

Congratulations to Judy Burke and Steve Alther who were united in marriage on Saturday at Gid Brown Bible Church.

Mrs. Esther Martin of Lexington, Ky., was an overnight guest Saturday of her mother Mrs. Janie Pullen. Mrs. Martin was en route to her home after spending a week in Orange with her sister Mrs. Margie Atkins, who is recuperating after a recent operation. Mrs. Pullen’s grandson Jack Pullen of Sperryville visited her Thursday, and Faye Pullen was a guest Sunday.

Our sympathy to Mrs. Norma Brown and family on the death of her sister Mrs. Danny (Barbara) Clater of Front Royal.

Mr. and Mrs. Edward M. Clark entertained at a cook-out on Friday evening in honor of their granddaughter Miss Edna Kay (Edie) Eastham’s 18th birthday. Guests were Tim Falls of Woodville, Robert L. Frazier, Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Brown and daughters Amanda and Bobbie Jolene and Mr. and Mrs. Richie Eastham.
