In light of some recent articles in your paper concerning judicial conduct in this jurisdiction, we as members of the Rappahannock County Bar would like to state the following:
(1) We are exceedingly proud of all the Judges who preside in the Twentieth Judicial Circuit, of which Rappahannock County is a part. * (2) We also believe it is manifestly unfair to write articles and/or letters to any newspaper criticizing the actions of a Judge or other judicial officer in any particular case without a ftill review of all the facts and circumstances of said case. It is unfortunate that the canons of judicial ethics in the Commonwealth of Virginia do no allow Judges to respond individually to any criticisms which may be made in a particular
