The corporation name “My Yo-yo Co.” was also a product of the students’ imagination. Every student was given a share in the company. They had to keep the stock in order to sell it. Students would receive a yo-yo for each share of stock.
The manufacturing began with students using jigs and fixtures to insure uniformity. Wooden squares were cut and an “x” was drawn on them to mark the center.} The squares were cut into a circle using a band saw, and the circle was sanded and then shaped with a router. Sets of two circles were put together, dipped in finish, sanded and a string attached. About seventy yo-yos were produced.
