This unfortunate situation is quite common, but fortunately, many new programs and techniques have emerged to radically change the ACOA’s life for the better.
On Tuesday, June 16, at 7:30 p.m., the Mental Health Association of Rappahannock County will present a program on Children of Alcholics. It will focus on the many negative dynamics of their problems and positive programs and techniques designed to meet their needs.
This program will be conducted by Denise H. Horton, Ph.D, and Bob Treanor, M.Ed.
Dr. Horton is a licensed clinical psychologist currently in private practice in Washington, D. C. She specializes in working with ACOA and others from dysfunctional families, and is currently an adjunct faculty member at Georgetown University’s Department of Psychiatry.
