Call for entries
The Middle Street Gallery in Washington is looking for artwork for “Images of Rappahannock,” a juried show which will be exhibited this July. Slides of work are due on June 8. Juror for the show is Bill Christenberry and Cynthia Mahan is the curator. Entry forms are available at the Middle St. Gallery, Mountainside Market and by calling the curator at 675-3837.
Car wash at Co-op
The Rappahannock County Varsity Cheerleading squad will sponsor a car wash on Saturday, May 5 at the Rappahannock Farmers Coop from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. All proceeds will go towards new uniforms.
NSDAR luncheon planned
The May 8 meeting''©^ the Culpeper Minute Men Chapter, NSDAR, will be a luncheon at 12 noon at Fox Chase Farm, home of Mrs. William L. Reed. It is suggested that those who will be atttending meet at the parking lot of the Emporium in Sperryville at the junction of Routes 522 and 211 in order to follow someone familiar with directions to the Farm.
Historical Society meeting
The Rappahannock Historical Society’s spring meeting will be held on Sunday, May 5 at 3 p.m. at the Historical Society building. The featured presentation will be a history of some of the society’s recent acquisitions. The public is invited, and there will be no admission charge.
Spring choral concert
On Tuesday, May 8, the elementary and high school choruses will hold their spring choral concert in the high school auditorium. The program will begin at 7:30 p.m. The public is invited to attend; there will be no admission charge.
Flexercise classes ^
A six-week series of flexercise classes will begin on Tuesday, May 8. Classes will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6 p.m at Rappahannock County Elementary School. Class fee is $30. Beginners are welcome. Call Rose Ann Sharp (675-3887, evenings) for more information.
Heart volunteers honored
The Rappahannock Unit of the American Heart Association will meet at the Trinity Episcopal Church on Tuesday, May 8 at 6:30 p.m. Each member is requested to bring a dessert. At this meeting our volunteers will be honored. All are urged to be present. For information call Doris Donald (937-5418).
