Editor’s note: Due to the limits of space, the names of those elected to serve on the county’s Republican Committee were omitted from the article about the GOP mass meeting which appeared in the March 29 issue. Along with several other items of business, the names of the committee members appear below.
The county caucus approved an eight-member delegation to the district convention in Charlottesville on May 12. Representing the county’s six votes will be Admiral John Marocchi, Jesse and Edith Pond, Melanie Thornhill, Sheilah and Rod Sweet, Robert Darby and Sally Thornhill. The caucus also directed that the county’s votes be cast in a block.
