pL regulate the use of dumping facilities in Rappahannock County was passed at the May lieeting of the Board of Supervisors held Friday at the courthouse in Washington. The rfecorded vote was unanimous aid the ordinance immediately became effective. 1 Dennis B. Wingfield, principal of Rappahannock County High School, has been elected president of the Rappahannock Education Association for the 1970-71 school year. Mr. Wingfield, who is completing his fourth year as principal of the high school, served as treasurer df the Education from 1967-69.

Lavonne Adkins, a fifth
grade student at Rappahannock County Elementary school, received top honors for her poster “Conservation, What Can I Do?” Miss Adkins was awarded a certificate at the Virginia Association of Soil and Water Conservation Districts Area II meeting held in Culpeper on April 30. Miss Adkins’ poster was selected as the best in the Culpeper Soil and Water Conservation District.
