two or three days. If rain or high winds are forecast for Thursday, the spraying will be postponed until the first suitable day.
Dimilin and Bt require only one application, but the areas sprayed with Gypchek will be sprayed again after five days.
Mr. McAninch said that all three of the chemicals are registered and “are considered extremely safe,” but he recommended that people not go out and stand while the plane is spraying. Laundry should not be hung either, since the chemicals may stain clothing.
Pets should not be affected by the spraying either, but he recommended that dogs be brought inside so they are not frightened by the low-flying aircraft.
