our county’s seventh graders to Williamsburg. Surely, several days in this historic milieu is the experience of a lifetime, especially when accompanied by good friends and knowledgeable teachers. Self help is emphasized to make it possible, but these days that often is not enough. The Lions are only too glad to assist.
These examples illustrate the wide variety of our social work. Our spring auction and fall apple butter sale are the engines driving the process.
Any help you can give to the auction: donations, items for sale, will be gratefully received.
The auction will be held Saturday, May 12, beginning at 6 p.m. at the Washington fire hall, rain or shine. Members of the club will be at the fire hall on Friday and Saturday to receive donations. Receipts will be provided if desired.
