Diabetes will be addressed by the Medical Nursing Unit, whose nurses will test participants for the disease and teach them about the signs, risk factors, and the roles of diet, exercise and insulin.

The Surgical Nursing Unit will demonstrate the uses and benefits of various tubes used for medicine, fluids and drainage with surgery.

First aid and treatment of minor injuries, medical emergencies and trauma are the concerns of the Emergency Department. Nurses from the ER will give valuable instructions on what to do for choking, cuts, bites, etc.

The Surgical Suite nurses will explain the outpatient surgery process from admission and tests to anesthesia and the surgical procedure. Over 20 procedures will be featured including followup instructions. The outpatient surgery nurses will also discuss pain control, transfusions, chemotherapy and antibiotic therapy.
