In any community, artists help determine the character and fabric of their society, and Rappahannock is no exception. Washington musician Paul Reisler, perfomer, recording artist and musical director of Trapezoid, believes strongly in taking a proactive approach to promoting the arts in his own back yard.
Mr. Reisler is being featured in “The Composer,” the second installment of the four-part “Exchange” series put on by Ki Theatre and supported by a $3,000 grant from the Virginia Foundation for the Humanities and Public Policy. Along with Trapezoid musicians Bob Read, Martha Sandefer and Cecil Hooker (this will be Mr. Hooker’s first live performance with the band), Mr. Reisler will perform a short set of his own music and then conduct a dialogue with the audience about his music and how the community influences his creative process (and vice-versa).
