Sheriffs Office following advice from counsel to handle my complaint properly against the deputy.
There is no reason for a citizen of Rappahannock to be treated in this manner from an elected official. A tax paying citizen that funds the Sheriffs Office and pays their salaries should not ever be told to get out with such an UNPROFESSIONAL ATTITUDE.
Sheriff Woodward has left me with no alternative than to file my formal complaint with a higher official, only now there will be two, not one.

Where were
the parents?
To the Editor:
I went to the monthly Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) meeting last night and I could have fit everyone there into my van! I’m wondering where are all the parents? The parents I see at baseball, soccer, church, conference night and the public hearing on the middle school? The PTO meets only once a month for 2-3 hours. It gives you a chance to find out what is going on and to show your support for your teachers.
We are very lucky to have an open administration and teachers. I’ve heard different people with ideas and this would give them a chance to get involved. They can also find out information about (for example) the transportation committee findings: Bob Chappell gave a report. Raye Tupper would love to hear from anyone who would like to volunteer any amount of time at the school. This county has many untapped wonderful resources we could share with our children and help our over-burdened teachers.
The spring meeting is coming up on Feb. 29 and children are welcome. So please come and listen or come and get involved.
