PTO spring conference
The PTO spring conference will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 29 at the Rappahannock Elementary School gym. One topic for discussion is school expansion. Parents, teachers and students are welcome.
Book and bake sale
The Mothering Cooperative will sponsor a bake sale in conjunction with the book sale at the Rappahannock Library from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 15. All proceeds will be donated to the Libri Foundation which is a grant for purchase of children’s books. Proceeds will be matched by the Libri Foundation. Anyone interested in helping should call Kathy Kreyling at 987-8131.

Auction at Amissville
The Amissville Volunteer Fire Department will hold an auction beginning at 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 25. Donations are accepted. Call Carroll Ray Settle, 937-4781, Paul Poling, 937-5025 or David Sheffield , 937-5595 for pick-up of items.
Buffet breakfast
The Washington Volunteer Fire Department will sponsor a buffet breakfast from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 15. The menu will consist of sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs, biscuits, sausage gravy, pancakes, bash browns, baked apples, coffee, juice and hot chocolate. Cost is $5 for adults and $3 for children 12 and under. Upcoming buffet breakfast dates are Saturday, March 21 and Saturday, April 18 which will include a Easter Egg hunt for the children. All proceeds to benefit Washington Fire Department.
