It usually takes about three days to create the masterpiece, with the cake being made on Wednesday, the smooth frosting added on Thursday, the decorations done on Friday with all ready for the wedding on Saturday.
She prefers getting years of advance notice, but she'll accept just a few weeks. .
“I need all the notice I can get,” she said laughing. When colors need to be matched and certain flower shapes obtained, the more time she has the more comfortable she feels.
Mrs. Dellinger charges $1.50 per serving of any design except the lace points, because they require several hours in preparation. „
The bride’s cake is free. Birthday, anniversary, wedding and other cakes can be ordered by calling Mrs. Dellinger at home at 987-8145.
An instructor once told Mrs. Dellinger that the most beautiful thing at the wedding, next to the bride, should be #ie cake.
