1 hese recent works incorporate her own handmade paper with embedded images. She uses found papers, her grandfather’s marbleized papers, and museum reproductions.
The finished product is worked with wax, oil pastel and charcoal to unify the elements. The works focus on a longing and reverence for the spirit.
Tatiana is a musician by training. Drawn to the simplicity and light-heartedness of Mexican, Russian, and Turkish folk art, golden onion domes and gilded icons emerge in her work.
With six books and four plays to her name, Burnham has most recently recorded and explored the human experience with angels in “A Book of Angels” and “Angel Letters.” She was recently interviewed on National Public Radio’s Diane Rehm Show. Cabin Fever Books of Washington, Va. will offer both books for sale, sijined by the author.
