Applicants must have good driving record, a dependable car, and must like people. Any needed training will be provided.
The volunteer program also needs advisors to follow up on young men and women who have left the Job Corps. Volunteers must have a general knowledge of social services, poverty-related problems and government resources. Each assignment usually takes only a phone call or letter, and an appropriate referral. Volunteers must be flexible and interested in young people.
