As young as each year’s spring, Durant is full of new and better ideas, and carries them out faster than it takes most people to contemplate a problem. New on the card will be a hurdle race, a mile and a half over ten jumps. The course is twice around the field over five jumps, which are all in full view of spectators. Already installed is a new public address system and part of a new steeplechase course. A whole set of new flags for the race course has been made by the chairman’s charming wife Emily.
