n/u^i-inK ouunai i ui tiitr Amissville Volunteer Fire and Rescue Company, Paul Poling, was presented with the Chief Robert W. Little Jr. Humanitarian Award by the International Association of Fire Chiefs Foundation in Hampton last weekend during the mid-winter Fire Chiefs Conference.

Mr. Poling was presented the award for “his commitment, dedication jand lifelong service to the statearid the community,” according to the plaque. He was also given a $1,000 check.

Mr. Poling’s 54 years in volunteer fire and rescue services includes:

• Membership on the executive board of the Virginia State Emergency Medical Services.
