PD9 director Richard Stroemple criticized the survey as inaccurate in some of its claims, and said that drawing parallels between his PDC and larger, urban ones in the state amounted to “comparing apples and oranges.”
“A review of services, resource levels, and local government survey responses raises a concern that at least two PDCs, the RappahannockRapidan PDC and the Central Virginia PDC, may not be adequately meeting the needs of their localities and those of the region. In the case of Rappahannock-Rapidan, a lack of staff resources appears to be a key factor,” the survey reads.
