The program on Nov. 19 under the direction of Maxwell McCullough, past president of the Balalaika and Domra Association of America. He and other orchestra members have engaged in courses of study in Russia and Ukraine, and they bring a discernible note of authenticity to their performances, which have recently included programs at the Kennedy Center with the Paul Hill Chorale and at Constituion Hall with the Washington Civic Symphony as well as ensemble engagements at the Russian Embassy, Smithsonian Institution and Meridian House.

Tickets for “An Evening in Old Russia” at the Theatre at Washington on Nov. 19 are $12. Children are half price. Seating is limited and reservations are recommended. Phone 675-1253 for reservations or information.
