Assistant Superintendent Robert Chappell reported that the vocational advisory committee recommends that more courses be offered that would enable students to complete a vocational sequence at the high school. Some classes will probably only be offered in alternate years. There are recommendations in the business department, technology education and “Work and Family Studies,” formerly called home economics. The recommendation includes adding classes in desktop publishing, legal and medical systems administration, food management, clothing management and I manufacturing. Introduction to Business and Family Management would be dropped.
