The charming storefronts and streets of historic Middleburg will be adorned with festive holiday decorations, providing the perfect backdrop for “Christmas in Middleburg,” Dec. 3.
The holiday celebration begins at 10:30 a.m., when the Middleburg Hunt takes off from the Red Fox Inn. Young and old alike will delights in the color and pageantry of this unique Hunt Country tradition.
Throughout the day, the streets will be filed with the sights and sounds of the holiday season including festive musical entertainment by1 the Royal Pipers of Keena Temple (2 p.m.) and Irish folk singer Brian Coughlan (12-3 p.m. at the Irish Crystal Company).
The Christmas festivites will be capped off at 3 p.m. with the annual parade down Washington Street. This year’s Grand Marshall, state Senator Charles Waddell (33rd District), will lead the parade featuring Santa Claus, marching bands, Christmas floats, and more! Freshbaked holiday goodies and beverages will be served along the parade route and in several of the boutiques.
Immediately following the parade, Santa Claus will meet youngsters on the porch of the Magic Wardrobe, across from the post office.
