Center Receives
Law Grant

The Piedmont Disputes Resolution Center has received a $25,000 grant from the Virginia Law Foundation. The grant was made possible by funds generated by the Interest on Lawyers’ Trust Accounts Program (IOLTA) which is administered by the Virginia Law Foundation. The funds are being used for both an executive direction position and an administrative assistant position. These positions have enabled the Center to maintain regular business hours, weekdays between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.
PDRC is a non-profit, community-based service organization partially funded by the Piedmont United Way. Its Warrenton office provides mediation services and training for the residents of Fauquier, Qulpeper, Rappahannock and Madison counties as well as surrounding areas. Its mediation services program is certified by the Supreme Court of Virginia.
Currently, the Center utilizes 22 trained volunteer mediators to handle a variety of disputes including divorce, child custody, parent-teen, and consumer-business conflicts. Anyone desiring more information about PDRC and the mediation „proce8s„can call the Center at 3476650.
