Mark Jenkins will be competing in the state finals for cross country.
The meet will be held at Great Meadow in The Plains this Saturday. He placed 11th in the regional meet which was held on Nov. 2 in Charlottesville. “It was the best race so far of his career,” said Coach David vandeGraaff.
Caroline Baumgardner finished 17th, just missing qualifying for the state finals (the top 15 finishers qualify for the state).
Boys’ basketball and girls’ volleyball tryouts will take place on Monday and Tuesday. The first home basketball game will be played against Central Friday, Dec. 9, and the first home volleyball game will be Monday, Dec. 5 against Brentsville.
