The wedding reception was held at the Hilton Hotel in Springfield immediately following the wedding ceremony. The reception was coordinated by Mrs. Sherry Montgomery, which included a formal sit down dinner, open-bar, and country western dancing. The dancing also included traditional dollar dance of paying to dance with the bride and groom.
It was a great honor to have the grandmother of the groom, Mrs. Addie Keyser of Washington, Va. attend the wedding. She is 95 years old and participated in several of the dances at the reception.
