Playing in traffic doesn’t quite Cover my two-and-a-halfhour ride. But we did do just about every single thing I try to avoid when I am trail riding — crossing six lanes of traffic, trotting over narrow pedestrian bridges and walking by dump trucks crushing their loads, and this was just the beginning of the adventure.
After cutting across Rock Creek Park, we cruised through Georgetown, by my favorite shops and restaurants. We walked in formation past the marble Kennedy Center, played with tourists on the mall near the monuments.
