Teen party planned
Mexican Fiesta party for teens will be held at the Rappahannock High School from 5 to 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 22. The party is sponsored bv the Fellowship Christian Athletes and Friends to Mom. For more information call 987-9336.
Healing Arts activities
Rappahannock Healing Arts will sponsor the following activities from Feb. 19-25. Thursday, Feb. 19 yoga at 9:30 a.m. and free bodywork for teens from 4 to 6 p.m.
Feb. 20 from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. and Feb. 21 and 22 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. a three day workshop on Healing Through the Human Energy Field and Reiki 1 with Berta Scholten. The workshop is devoted to self discovery' and self healing. Great health, energy and vitality can result. Dance at Amissville
The Amissville Volunteer Fire Department will sponsor a dance on Saturday, Feh. 21 at the fire hall. Music will be provided by Thunder Road. Proper dress code is required.
Movie to be shown
RAAC’s movie of the month will be “Washington Square.” to be shown Friday, Feb. 20 at 8 p.m. Set in the 1850’s New' York of Henry' James’ novel, “Washington Square” is the story of Catherine Slope (Jennifer Jason Leigh), a shy and awkward young woman whose mother died in childbirth. Although Catherine dotes on her wealthy father (Albert Finney), Dr. Slope blames his daughter of the loss of his beloved wife. PG. 115 minutes.
Workshop planned
An Arts and Crafts Workshop for children is being offered by Janet Kerig at Oldway Crafts Village, Sperryville, Saturdays Feb. 21, Feb. 28 and March 7 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The three week workshop is a multimedia experience including basketry, papermaking, tiedye, medicine wheels, art from nature, beadwork, candlemaking, painting, drawing, storytelling and percussion and dance jams. Emphasis is on creativity. Children bring lunch and drinks. Tuition is $75. Pre-registration is required. To register call 987-8670.
