Units frorri Chester Gap, Flint Hill and Washington volunteer fire departments responded as well as units from Warren County. Nicholson, who was thrown forward into the windshield of his truck, was more seriously injured. Both men were taken from the scene to Warren Memorial Hospital in Front Royal.
Eastham was later released but Nicholson, who sustained head injuries, was transferred from Warren Memorial to Winchester Medical Center that afternoon. Hospital sources at Winchester said he is now listed in good condition.
Damages to the GMC pickup were estimated at $2,000 and damages to the Toyota were also estimated at $2,000.
Nicholson has been charged with reckless driving.
