I believe that our community has more than adequately expressed, to both VDOT and our elected representatives, well founded concerns about our environment, the aesthetics, and quality of life in our Rappahannock County.
I believe our local elected officials have shown and continue to show either great insensitivity or outright disregard for the interests and expressed desires of our community. Either way, it would seem time to consider this and reflect the way you feel about it at the next local election.
Further, I hope that more people will look closely at the acts and conduct of VDOT and it’s representatives. Their blind commitment to “projects from the past,” which the local constituency has clearly proclaimed no longer appropriate, desired, or needed — despite contrary indications from the local elected officials — is at lest a slap in the face to the landowners.
In addition, it appears to be in conflict with the intent of the law which established and governs the administration of our secondary highway system. There are too many
